Where Could Alice Eve Possbly Be Hiding a New Star Trek Poster? The Brand New Star Trek Into Darkness Trailer Holds a Hidden Surprise

A fresh new trailer for the upcoming Star Trek Into Darkness has just hit the interwebs, and it looks great:

But wait, did you notice the Easter Egg hidden in it?  If not, go back and take another look… you’ll probably want to go full screen to try to find it. Trust me, it’s hidden right there in plain sight .Go ahead, take a look, I’ll wait.

La da dee… do dah de wah…

Okay, so, did you see it that time?

Oh, still no luck? Well, I can’t say that’s too surprising since it requires you to ignore Alice Eve (who plays Carol Marcus in the flick) in her underwear to see it.

Here, let’s still-frame that shot, shall we?

Alice has a hidden surprise for you.

Alice has a hidden surprise for you.

Doesn’t look like there’s much place for her to be smuggling a movie poster, does it? However, if you look just to her right, below where it says “Low Clearance”, you’ll find a bit.ly url. Specifically this: http://bit.ly/WyJV4F . So what do you find if you follow it?

Eh, I’m kind of tempted to make you click through to see, but since we’ve gone this far, let’s go ahead and finish the job.

Clicking the link gives you a look at the also brand new poster for the movie.

Where was she keeping this again?

Where was she keeping this again?

So, there you go. The seemingly most gratuitous shot in the trailer is actually the one with the most info. This is, as I’m sure some will note, actually a variant of a quite-old psychological test, but in the end, it’s really just a fun little bit of marketing for what’s looking more and more like it’s going to be a great follow-up to J.J. Abrams’ first Star Trek movie.

So who else is looking forward to this one as much as I am?

  1. Hot damn, Alice Eve. Man, I first her, as most people did I guess, in “She’s Out of My League”. Another reason I’m hyped to see this.
